For some, managing their rental properties is a passion. For others, it can be a series of headaches that eventually, if not handled properly, can cause serious problems. Here are 5 compelling reasons to consider for why you may need a property manager.

1. Location, Location, Location!- Long distance property management is nearly impossible and at the very least tedious. Being able to monitor your property and provide a quick and appropriate response to issues is key.

2. Time- None of us have an abundance of time these days. Finding the time to care for and address maintenance issues on your rental property can be a real task. These issues usually don't arise at a convenient time either.

3. Legalities- Navigating the legal waters of tenancies demands a knowledge in every arena from fair housing to legal notices. Knowing proper protocols is essential to stay out of trouble.

4. When things go bad- Life happens and sometimes the best tenancy can deteriorate rapidly. People lose their jobs or worse but you still depend on your property's income. Knowing how to handle late pays, evictions, and remedying a negative situation quickly makes all the difference.

5. Tenant's Issues- Tenants all have issues. Most are well meaning but all must be handled professionally. What is important to them may be minor but we handle all requests with respect to ensure a pleasant tenancy. We do everything within our power to have a good tenant re-new their lease rather than risk vacancy. That truly is the name of the game!
